Fort Collins

In 2018, Fort Collins was a finalist for the Cities of Service Engaged Cities Award for its participatory budgeting process. The award elevates city-led strategies that most successfully engage citizens to help create and implement solutions to pressing local problems. The city launched a citizen education program and incorporated citizens into budget review teams to create a budget that aligned with community priorities.
