Mayor Mark Hamm

Mark Hamm, sworn in as Mayor on April 2, 2024, is a dedicated public servant and a lifelong resident of Moore. His family has been rooted in the community since 1952 and he has a deep connection to the city and its residents. Mayor Hamm's journey in public service began early on. He grew up in Moore and graduated from Moore High School in 1986. After completing his education, he embarked on a career in law enforcement. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for 18 years, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Following that, he served as an Investigator with the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office for three years, further enhancing his understanding of the justice system. Mayor Hamm's commitment to his community extends beyond his professional career. He has been an active member of the First Baptist Church Moore for over thirty years, where he has found solace and inspiration. In 2012, he was elected to the Moore City Council, where he dedicated over 11 years of service as a Councilman. During his tenure, he worked tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of the residents, always striving to make Moore a better place to live, work, and thrive. Mayor Hamm's dedication to regional collaboration and advocacy is evident through his involvement as the city's representative on the Association of Oklahoma Governments (ACOG). This role allows him to contribute to important regional initiatives and work alongside other leaders in advancing the interests of Moore and its neighboring communities. Furthermore, Mayor Hamm's passion for community engagement and support is evident in his role as the Chairman for the Moore Red Ribbon Parade. This annual event brings together residents, organizations, and local businesses in a celebration of unity and commitment to a drug-free community. As Mayor, Mark Hamm brings a wealth of experience, strong values, and a genuine desire to serve the residents of Moore. With his proven leadership and dedication to the community, Mayor Hamm is committed to working collaboratively with residents, businesses, and city departments to ensure a bright future for Moore, OK. Mayor Hamm's current term expires in April of 2028.
