A unique international partnership between Cities of Service, the Municipality of Bologna, the Fondazione Innovazione Urbana, Nesta, and URBACT, the Conference on Citizen Engagement brings together a select group of senior leaders from Cities of Service coalition cities with researchers and leading citizen engagement practitioners from across the US and Europe.

Collaborating with organizations and cities across the world that are leading the way on citizen engagement provides an unparalleled opportunity for connection, replication, and impact.

The conference is highly collaborative, interactive, and features powerful speakers, hands-on experiences, and intimate learning exchanges. Participants share their expertise around working together with citizens to solve problems at the local level. They discuss program design, impact measurement, and more, and return to their cities and offices with new perspectives, resources, and relationships that help build stronger cities with the help of citizens.

Practitioners and organizations discover differences and commonalities around their practice of citizen engagement, reflect on actions they can take to move their work to the next level, and create personalized action plans and commitments for their ongoing efforts around engaging citizens to solve problems.
